As a group of local musicians, the Music Corps will be teaching and learning from one another as they create new music that can help inform the public about COVID-19 and its prevention. We are so lucky to have so much talent on our team.
Alexander Lewis has been writing and performing music most of his adult life. He hails from San Francisco, by way of Georgia, and has lived in the Sacramento for about seven years. He has released two albums under the name January Son, and he is the mustache to Amy Kelly’s cleavage in the band Mustache and Cleavage, currently touring a live-streaming service near you!
Amy Kelly, Mentor
Amy Kelly is a Core Company member of The B Street Theatre Acting Company. She is a playwright, a voice over artist and a singer/songwriter and a teaching artist. Recent acting credits include: House on Haunted Hill, The Ladies Foursome, One Man, Two Guvnors @ The B Street and Alabaster @ Capital Stage. Writing credits include: Treatment and Surprise Party at the End of the World (New Play Brunch - October 2018). Her film credits include Nick and Tristan Go Mega Death (2010) and West Hollywood Motel (2013) and many others. She was featured in one of LA’s longest running comedy shows All About Walken: The Impersonators of Christopher Walken. Recently she filmed a mini-series called Honest Abe: The Backstory slated for release in 2021. She also guest starred on an episode of 13 Reasons Why. She is in two bands, Amy and The Insecurities and Mustache and Cleavage with Alexander Lewis. She has written and performed a number of songs for B Street Theatre’s comedy shows and fundraising events as well as political jingles and full length songs for for Marketplace Communications. Her movie soundtrack credits include Paternity Leave, What’s the Matter with Gerald?, Gaze and Wamego: Making Movies Anywhere.
A Sacramento native, Art Padilla has been mastering the guitar since age 11 however he’s been playing professionally since 1999. His love and passion for guitar has allowed him to explore all types of sounds ranging from pop-punk, metal, pop, rock and country
Acclaimed multi-award winning singer, songwriter and musician, Dinorah has performed for audiences throughout the U.S. and Mexico for over 25 years. Born and raised in Mexico City, Dinorah started her musical education at age of eight years old when she learned to play guitar and quickly developed a passion for Flamenco, Salsa, Bolero, and Ballads. Dinorah has performed with legendary artists such as Stevie Wonder, Mariachi Vargas, Mariachi Sol de Mexico, Patti Labelle, Celia Cruz, and many more. Based in Sacramento, CA, she owns a company Dinorah Entertainment, that manages her band that performs Latin, American and world music, Dinorah’s Band ; and performs music from all over the world as a soloist with her inseparable guitar. Dinorah is also the producer of shows and festivals, including Sacramento's own Annual Mariachi Festival. Winner of three SAMMIES awards, Dinorah also recently formed an all female Mariachi band, Mariachi Bonitas, de Dinorah Klingler.
Pano Roditis is a recent graduate from CSU Sacramento, where he earned his Bachelor's in Theatre with a minor in Computer Science. Pano has worked at several theaters in the area including Sacramento Theatre Company, Teatro Espejo, and Teatro Nagüal, both onstage and off. He mainly focuses on acting and sound design, but his repertoire includes directing, projection design, stage management, and backstage crew. Pano eventually dreams of pursuing a career in acting and sound design, as well as, attaining a PhD in Performance Studies in order to teach theatre at a university level.
Ryan 'Harpo' Harbert
Ryan 'Harpo' Harbert is a professional freelance artist with over three decades of performance experience on and off stages around the world. As a multi-instrumentalist, he has performed in countless groups, in generes from jazz to rock, electronic, polka, and many others. Specializing in reed instruments, he plays locally and abroad, including several international tours. Recently, he began performing solo live streamed concerts using custom looping software to play all the parts nearly simultaneously.
Theatrically, Harpo performs as an actor, musician, and technician. His favorite jobs are lighting and projection design, and his work often includes integrated electronics and custom programming, including LED controllers and interactive effects. He is currently the technical director for the El Camino High School Performing Arts Center. A graduate of Sac State, he continues working professionally as a filmmaker, photographer, audio engineer, and designer with his company dell'Arte Productions. Recently, he formed another company, Quaternion Media, to create the technical wizardry needed to pull off all the above.
